A classical form of dance developed through the centuries originating in Italy and formalized France. Ballet emphasizes the outward rotation of the legs/feet and specified positions of the torso, shoulders, arms, and head. Choreography comes from Classical, Neo-Classical to Contemporary vocabulary with a strong focus on technique and precision.
All of our ballet classes stress correct placement (body alignment), and correct classical ballet technique. Class level is determined by the instructor and is based on an individual assessment when the student takes a trial class. All students receive corrections during class to help them advance. Students advance to the next level based on the recommendation of the instructor.
We require all female dancers to wear a black leotard with pink ballet shoes and pink tights. Male dancers should wear a form fitting shirt and form fitting pants with black ballet shoes.
No coverups or skirts are allowed.
Hair must be pulled up into a bun.
Schedule is subject to change. Classes fill up quickly, please call first to be sure there are still spots available in the class that you are interested in.
